JTET 2026 at a Glance

The exam date has been fixed through Notice No. 62/2026 dated 28.09.2026, issued in line with the interim order passed by the Hon'ble High Court of Jharkhand in Contempt Case No. 783/2026 and JAC's earlier Notice No. 24/2026. Both levels will be held on the same day at exam centres across the state, so your shift depends on the level you applied for.

  • The admit card will not be sent by post or any other medium — you must download and print it yourself.

Provisions for Divyang (PwD) Candidates

Divyang candidates who applied for JTET — such as visually impaired candidates, candidates with cerebral palsy (CP), and candidates with disability of both hands — will be given 30 minutes of extra time and may take a scribe (shruti lekhak) under the following conditions:

  • The candidate must submit the disability certificate (showing disability percentage), issued by the Civil Surgeon / District Medical Officer, along with an application, to the office of the District Education Officer (DEO) of the concerned district before the exam date.
  • Based on the application and certificate, the DEO will authorise a scribe as per rules. The scribe can be a student studying in Class 9 at most, verified through a study certificate.
  • The DEO will inform the Centre Superintendent and JAC about the scribe authorised.

What Should You Do Now?

  • Fix your last-month plan around the exam date and level. Use our JTET Study Plan to divide your remaining days.
  • Attempt full-length timed papers in the same slot as your shift (morning for Class 6–8, afternoon for Class 1–5) so your body clock is used to it.
  • Revise from short notes, and practise previous year papers on the mock test page.
  • Read our Exam Day Tips and check your exam centre location well before 1 November.
  • Keep checking the official JAC website and this page for any further notice, since dates can change by court or council order.
